CML-Cherupushpam Mission League was founded in Kerala, India, Pastrol Orientation Center, Ernakulam, as its head office. On 6th July 2000, CML started its branch in Qatar, at Farij Bin Omran parish under the patronage of Rev. Fr. Jacob Panamthottam. The motto of this organisation is to build up the personal ability to lead the community and to inculcate in them the need for charity.
Today, CML's Qatar unit has almost 200 children as its members.
The parish priest Fr. Jose Thachukunnel is our present spiritual director. CML convenes its general body once in every month. The officials meet regularly and discuss various issues. At the end of each meeting, we sing the CML anthem.
This league does many activities in the church. On special occasions like Parish day, Mission Sundays and Feast Day of Saints we extend our full fledged support to the parish. On such occasions we arrange special stalls for games, food, toys etc. CML also undertakes Talent search competition in which competitions like fancy dress, essay writing, singing, elocution etc. will be held. Winners were awarded prizes. |
