The mode of functioning of this Conference is:

(a) Raising fund by collecting money from the community members.

This is done by

  • Receiving monthly subscription from “Conference” members.
  • Keeping collection Boxes in the church and by approaching individuals directly with the support of announcements/appeal by the parish priest.
  • Keeping charity Money Boxes at homes and bringing them back to church by parishioners at the end of each month.
  • By conducting auctions of various articles donated by community members.
  • By setting up food stalls at the church compound on special occasions.
(b) Disbursement of money for charity purpose.
  • This is done in strict accordance with the majority decision of the members at the “Conference meeting.

(c) Mobilization of members for various tasks set by the “ Conference ” decisions from time to time.

This includes

  • Jail/ Camp/Hospital/House visits
  • Counseling, helping and assisting the needy and organizing other charity activities.
At present this “Conference” is having a strength of 30 active members and scores of other supporting members. We are now planning to organize a “Membership Campaign” to absorb more active members to this charity organization. We are conducting regular monthly meetings in which the report of the preceding “Conference” meeting as well as the decision taken, will be read and up-to date income and expenditure account is presented. This is to be approved by the “Conference” meeting. Discussions on forth coming charity activities and consideration/evaluation of requests for financial helps from various corners are done and an appropriate decision on each request is taken promptly. We conclude our “Conference Meetings” with a message from our Spiritual advisor and with a prayer.
